As you can imagine, we receive an overwhelming number of employment inquiries each year. Because of this, we’ve created a process that helps quickly identify individuals who are truly serious about advancing their career in music — and separates them from those who are simply exploring a hobby without being ready to invest in their own development.

At the legendary Saltmine Studio Oasis — a diamond-certified recording facility with nearly 40 years of history and over ten-times platinum recognition — we do things differently. Our reputation was built not only by working with world-class artists, but by developing the next generation of producers from within.

For that reason, every candidate interested in joining our team begins with the Saltmine Certified Producer Coaching.

This is not a typical classroom lecture or traditional workshop environment.

Saltmine is a real recording studio first — not a school. The experience here is hands-on, fast-moving, and built around real-world expectations. You’ll be working inside an active studio environment where creativity, initiative, and professionalism matter. We will guide you, mentor you, and provide a supportive environment, but you will also be expected to take ownership of your growth and development.

In many ways, this program is designed to throw you into the fire — while giving you the support and mentorship needed to grow from the experience.

What you get out of this opportunity will depend largely on what you put into it. Initiative, discipline, and work ethic are critical to succeeding here. Participants are expected to contribute meaningfully to the team environment, work hard, and approach the opportunity with the mindset of someone who truly wants to become a professional producer.

By joining this program, you are gaining proximity to a world-class recording facility and the creative ecosystem surrounding it. You’ll be developing your skills in an environment where real artists, real sessions, and real opportunities are constantly moving through the studio.

Participants also become part of the Saltmine Hitmakers network — currently a team of more than 75 producers who collaborate, share knowledge, and grow together inside the Saltmine community. This network provides a powerful foundation of relationships, mentorship, and collaboration that most aspiring producers never have access to. The people you surround yourself with in this industry make a BIG difference, so we want to make sure its a good fit for both sides before you join the team. 

Those who demonstrate strong work ethic, discipline, and creative potential may be invited to continue their journey through the Saltmine Internship Program, where the path toward becoming a Saltmine Hitmaker truly begins.

This program exists as an incubator within the Saltmine ecosystem, designed to support and guide emerging producers as they develop the skills, experience, and confidence needed to operate at a professional level. Each producer’s path develops differently, allowing us to prepare individuals for real studio opportunities at the appropriate pace.

Run a professional studio session from start to finish and walk away with your own recorded song.

Produce a record for another participant while learning real-world techniques inside a diamond-certified studio environment.

Earn your Saltmine Certified Producer designation, a critical step toward deeper involvement with the Saltmine team.

Gain ongoing proximity to a world-class recording facility and the creative environment surrounding it.

Become part of the Saltmine Hitmakers network and collaborate with a growing team of like-minded producers.

Why this certification matters:

At Saltmine, we prioritize hands-on experience and demonstrated ability. Your certification represents that you’ve begun developing the skills and mindset required to operate inside a professional studio environment that has helped shape the sound of generations. Traditional education alone cannot replicate this type of preparation.

Program Value & Investment:

A private full-day session with our Chief Producer, Velvet Cash — who has worked alongside some of the biggest names in the industry — typically costs $2,000.

However, because our goal is to identify serious candidates and build long-term relationships with future producers, this opportunity is intentionally priced at just $299.

Access to this environment, this network, and these resources would normally cost significantly more. The reason the price is set this low is because we are willing to take a risk on the right people. Your enrollment acts as your initiation into the program, after which we will schedule your onboarding and orientation and begin the development process.

This opportunity is not designed for everyone. It requires real commitment, strong initiative, and the willingness to work hard inside a real studio environment.
